Carla, I am not sure what model planter you have. But on ours it is very important where the root ball is placed in the planter fingers. I find that for us the root ball and about 1.5"of the plant stem must be past the plant holder. Bill (Texas)

We bought a used one row tobacco setter. We are trying to use it on our flower and vegetable transplants. It either barely sets the plants, and won't cover the root ball, or buries them. We have adjusted everything that we can think of and we still can't get it right.
Any suggestions? We have more rain coming this weekend and we're getting a little frantic trying to get everything planted.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Carla Maness
