Cemtral Boiler has an outside wood burner that heats our 30x50 farm building  with radiant heat - water circulates through the floor.  We have a back-up unit on ours we can set for propane should we need to be off the farm in the winter.  Have not needed that as yet as we are here and can feed it as needed. Takes huge logs and all the wood dust, ash, mess is outside and not in the building or house.  We have a wood furnace in our home that we have used for 15 years.  For 18 years prior to that a Jotel stove heated our old 600 sq ft. farmhouse we raised the boys in.  Our oldest son and his wife are using it now to heat their Yurt.

We have endless supply of wood to clean up - if we had to buy the wood  we maybe would not have chosen it.
