Hi Lu,

I highly recommend a 2005 publication titled "Grower to grower:
Creating a livelihood on a fresh market vegetable farm" published by
the University of Wisconsin. It's a case study of 19 Wisconsin growers
and their financial breakdown (gross sales per acre, net income per
acre, hourly wage for owner, etc.). There are many valuable insights
in there (such as a list of equipment and expenses for farms of
various sizes) that would be valuable to anyone interested in
vegetable farming, but it's especially relevant if you live and farm
in Wisconsin.

Here's a link to the PDF file:

Best of luck and keep us posted,

Krystle
