Dave: Try root pruning your tomato plants -- use a sharp shovel and just slice down in the soil in a circle around the plant about 6" from the main stem. It doesn't hurt the plant and those green tomatoes should ripen up "right quick".

Does anybody have any suggestions for tomato varieties for fall hoophouse production?I planted Red Sun and Oregon Spring back in mid-March for early summer production, on the advice of an ag agent, and so far have lots of green tomatoes but none ripe, so am a little disappointed because my field tomatoes aren't that far behind the hoophouse crowd.I'm in Zone 5.--Dave
