Hi,

Any reccomendations (make and model) for a digital, "legal for trade", price computing scale that accumulates the total order? Ease of operation, accuracy, and durability most important. Supplier and price info also apprecitated.

Thanks,

Paul

A digital computing scale sure improved life here when we got it
10+ years ago, (CAS brand from a local business machine guy).
It has been trouble free, and gets 2 summers on the road from a load of "C" cell batteries.
A couple things I would change:
It shuts down if not in use and will not start up again with anything
on it; so the lady picks out some tomatoes and puts them on the scale and we have to take them off, hit start, and wait for the beep before putting them back on.

Were I starting over I would look at a system where the scale is tied into the cash register, it would add to speed and accuracy. Might not buy all at once but would be well to have the compatability.

I think a large clear read-out on the customer side is important, one of those on a extended arm would be just dandy.

If you do any pre-packaging get a machine that prints label stickers,
storage or cooking tips would be a good addition.
