Hi All.  I like to hear a recommendation before I buy something - so here's my recommendation for the hatfield transplanter - I love this tool!

We bought the smallest one to use for transplants from 128 cell trays - lettuce, onions, broccoli, etc and liked it so well that we bought the next larger one for 50 cell transplants.

I don't quite remember, but it seems like it took two of us 1 1/2 hours or so to set out 300 lettuces in a 100 foot bed last year - we can do it now in 1/2 hour - with no knees in the dirt!  We've set out several thousand transplants so far.  One caveat - it works best in a nice fine seedbed, but I've used it in some clumpy stuff too.

I got it from Johnnys - about $100 delivered.

For what it's worth....
