Hi Alan,
I just start with great compost and seasoned manure in the beds.
Plant the inoculated beans, and later a little fish emulsion or compost
tea when i/we get around to it. As the season gets too busy, they are on
their own and sure keep producing! It's a thing i love about pole beans
- they're the gift that keeps on giving - after the bush beans languish.
