Mark:I plant two or three kinds of squash each year. And..., each year the
squash plants produce like crazy for a while, turn gray, and die.
Oldtimin:Does the gray look like a dusty powder. It could be powdery mildew. If it is you can make a spray with water, a little vegetable oil, and baking soda. The baking soda changes the Ph on the leaf to a point the powdery mildew can't live. The oil helps it stick, and the water is just a carrier. It won't correct any damage but it will stop it from getting worse.
