I do have chickens. About 50. And six turkeys. But I also have dogs, who think the chickens are birds, and therefore fair game, so the chickens are pastured, but in electric fencing. And the poultry think the berry plants are as fair game as the dogs do the poultry.

But I also have about 5 acres of grasshoppers. The chickens and turkeys are hard pressed to keep up. I have LOTS of grasshoppers now.

I'm putting out NOLO bait. I've just cut and baled my alfalfa, and I've moved the turkeys onto the alfalfa field (and the grasshoppers, minus alfalfa, are moving into more of the vegetable and flower gardens). Me and the poultry and the grasshoppers are working on the proper balance.

You could possibly use a biological cure such as chickens!!!
