Re: Invitation to be a vendor at Oxford Farmers Market Uptown, Oxford, OH
The Oxford Farmers Market Uptown is a grower only market that is open to all growers - conventional and organic. This market has no geographical boundaries and welcomes vendors from any area.
The Saturday market, located in the parking lot adjacent to the uptown Oxford parks, will operate from 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. each Saturday. During the Saturday market vendors can easily pull into a parking spot and sell out of the back of their vehicle.
The Tuesday evening market, located in the Memorial park uptown, will operate from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. each Tuesday. During the Tuesday market, vendors set up their booths in the grass of the park; no vehicles are allowed in the park but there is nearby parking.
Vendors benefit from the easy access to the market, visibility from Oxford's two main roads, and of course from all the customers drawn to this location. Our customers come from the entire region including customers from Richmond, IN and Dayton, OH.
Oxford Farmers Market Uptown is managed entirely by a group of vendors and consumers known as the Farmers Market Council. Your vendor fee makes you a voting member of the Oxford Farmers Market Uptown. That means you can elect members of the Farmers Market Council and that you are eligible to be a member of the Council. We believe that this type of inclusive decision-making will ensure the future success of these markets.
Vendors are invited to "try out" the market at no charge for two weeks. Vendor fees after that time are $50 for vendors with gross profits less than $2500 for the season, $100 for vendors with gross profits greater than $2500 and less than $5000 and $150 for vendors with gross profits greater than $5000. These fees cover participation in both the Saturday and Tuesday markets. For vendors participating only in the Tuesday market the fee is $5/week or $50 for the entire season.
Please contact Barbara Hamilton, Farmers Markets Council secretary,
at oxfordfarmersmarket AT yahoo.com. for a Vendor's Packet
The Mission of the Oxford Farmers Market Uptown is to provide fresh and local farm items, strengthen the relationship between farmers and consumers, and support small farms by providing an outlet for farm products.
