Hi people, I am thinking of putting up one of those Ledgewood
High Tunnels from Ed Person up in The basic design calls for the posts to be driven in
the ground. But my building inspector doesn't want to approve a
permit for the design without the posts being set in concrete. He wants
them to be set at least at 42" deep to be below the frost line. He
is using the common sense advice about shallow set fence posts that need to be
reset each year. Around here, (western Have people had good success with wiggle wire to lock
in the poly? I have seen several commercial greenhouses on the way to
work that use it so that makes me feel better about using it. -Paul Bock |
