If you are needing to buy manure or raising animals
just for their manure, it would seem to make more
sense to simply buy the initial product, i.e. the
feed. Cat food, dog food, chicken feed, alfalfa hay,
soybean meal, and other high-protein feeds and
supplements make excellent soil conditioners and
fertilizers and compost additions. Unless you just
love them for their company, bypass the animal and
eliminate the 90% loss of energy. Animal manure is
best, but it isn't *that* much better than plant
manures.
