And you got me curious. Questions that pop into mind are- what is this
program? What are you trying to grow (sounds like woody perennials)?
Alex - Growing Ginger. Hugh Lovel in blairsville, Georgia has grown the best tasting ginger that I've ever tasted. He attritutes his success, in part, to the use of hardwood bark as a mulch. He says that it provides calcium to the foodweb in a fashion that nothing else can touch. He recommends white oak, of course, but says that any other hardwood is the next best thing.
