Regards to the list:
In the past, we've done cages, stakes, Florida weave and putting brush
around the plant to keep the fruits off the ground and last year, we did
nothing - just let them sprawl. We've used all sorts of things to tie
the vines to the support and I believe my favorite has been old panty
hose. This year, I'm planning to try something different with some of
the tomatoes. I'm going to plant 3 or 4 giant sunflower seeds around
each plant, hoping that as they grow, they will support the tomato.
Don't know how this will work as far as nutrients go, but can you just
picture this tomato-sunflower forest? I read this tip somewhere online,
but don't remember just where.

We're growing more tomatoes this year than we've done in the past, and I
wanted to poll the list and see what sort of tomato training everyone
does.
What do you like about your method of training? What don't you like?
Please reply on or off list.
