Hi Jean!
I also fancy growing delicious heirloom tomatoes............good luck
with this new experiment! Did this person have a name for the type??
This year i am growing out Paul Robeson ( Russian, Black type),
Mariana's peace, Green Zebra, Jaune Couer de Pigeon, Rutgers, Boris (
determinate paste - BIG fruits), Sungold ( modern type, but
oh-so-delish), Black Krim( another Russian Black),Tennessee Yellow,
Stupice........and another Solanum ( Burbankii) Sunberry/Wonderberry, and
green Tomatillos. There may be a few more i am forgetting in the
overwhelming amount of seedlings started!! I really always want to grow
more than i should - it's a magnificent obsession.
Let us know about your new gifted Tomato babies when they ripen this
summer!
