Touche on the sandals! I too wear sandals when I work in the garden. Except
for using sharp tools and the tiller of course! But I can't stand dirt
clumps stuck in my sock or tennie shoe, so this way I can just "Tilt & dump
then keep on walking"!! The best part is that they are only plastic with
squishy soles (which I normally do not like) and they last about 2 summers.
Once you break a little tiny hole into the sole though, they do make some
funny sounds when you take a step. But that just adds more entertainment to
my day. It gets lonely sometimes out in that big garden! They take their
punishment and I wear them daily. When I am ready to come in for the day, I
just stick them under the faucet outside and wash them and my feet off at the
same time!! YAHOO! They only cost me $20 "to boot"!! My other half thinks I
am crazy and I say what ever works! They just have 2 straps across the top
of my feet, easy on...easy off! No other way!
