advice on the first show
Good advice from Marie and I'll add this. I do a lot of shows with our aromatherapy products and I note one thing that separates the winners from the losers: Be available! Smile, say good morning to anybody who looks your way, be enthusiastic and just talk to people about what you do. DO NOT have a newspaper or a book and do not allow conversation with your booth mate or other vendors. You are there to talk to the customers about your product, not gossip. If anybody asks "are you having a good show? or (Ihate this one) "are you doin' any good at all? say YES, having a great show! Since you're selling plants, perhaps you could wear "gardeners' clothes"? an apron, even? Look the part. You're organic, aren't you? Make sure your food and drink reflect that...people actually notice.
Most important: have a great time!
