I'm here in PA, but I grew some last year -- they are very pretty plants and to put them around the edges of a hanging basket looks *great*, but to actually grow for beans, they just aren't very productive -- only 2 beans per pod and not a whole lot of pods. My guess is that folks grow them in arid areas because they actually WILL produce there while other beans won't - and they've got this open spaces, so they can grow A LOT.
I'm not so sure the earning/effort ratio is worth it to sell, but others might have different opinions.
