February Organic Seed Crop Production Workshops

Saving Our Seed, a USDA SARE-funded program organized by the Carolina Farm
Stewardship Association and nine partnering organizations, is working to
increase the availability of regionally adapted, open pollinated, certified
organic seed and develop a southern seed network. The program encompasses
both regional organic seed production workshops and an on-farm grow-out
program. Join us for the upcoming seed workshop:

"Whole Farm Planning for Organic Seed Crop Production"

This day-long workshop will cover the topics of "why save seed," the
integration of seed production into an existing farm plan, basic seed
biology, seed saving techniques, economics of seed production, and seed
distribution options. Information will also be provided on Saving Our
