Subject: [Market-farming] TOMATOES

I am located in Southern Idaho & thisis my first time writing to the list.  I have a full time job at a meat packing house & garden & sell plants & produce at local farmers markets.
This year lots of people in Idaho are complaining about their tomatoes producing poorly & blaming it on the extreme hot weather we have been having.  This weekend my wife & I went to Salt Lake City, Utahto visit Jim Kennards garden.  The temperatures there have been much like ours but I could not believe the production he is getting.
Jim has a website at www.foodforeveryone.org  that has lots of information about his growing methods  that many of you might find interesting.
