Bob I raised chickens in NJ for forty years, I gave up a few years ago
because I
don't have enough time to devote to the birds and also because there is very
little
profit in poultry. Feed is very expensive even when I made my own it was not
cost
effective. Chicken tractors are sloppy dirty and attract rats and other
varmints to
your yard. Keep your birds indoors on a deep dry litter and let them out to
run once
a day. Don't ever clip their wings, chickens can not fly more than 10 feet,
and
clipped wings throws them off balance. Stick with brown egg type birds like
RI or NH
reds, people always will pay more for brown eggs. Good luck
