The first year our farmers' market was open (2001), we raised a little of a
lot of things to help get it started. Since we were the only ones selling
pastured eggs (some of which we bought from a friend), we easily got $2.50 a
dozen and usually sold out; whatever we had left over, one of the finer
restaurants in town would buy @ $2.00 a dozen. We also included one or two
or three Araucana eggs in each carton, depending on supply, and called our
homestead "Green Eggers Farm."
