I am not sure about Balsam, but I know Borage quite
well. It can be picked and the leaves eaten raw (as in salad).
It is kind of hairy so you will probably want to mix it in with other
leaves rather than sell it on its own. The leaves have a cucumber taste
and I recomend trying one. Also, the upper leaves and flowers can be
prepared in tinctured form (the leaves and flowers chopped and put in
bottles with any 80 proof alcohol, then left to steep for about two weeks and
the liquid poured off into small 1 oz. bottles with eye droppers in
them.) It is traditionally used as a tonic for lactating mothers to
increase their milk flow..Interesting huh?
Good luck!
