Get a pipe wrench and set it so that the rebar sits
all the way at the back of the opening. Now you have
a handle to get a better grip with. If it's really
tough, use a bumper jack set under the handle of the
pipe wrench, close to the rebar and lift it out.
Being the tightwad that I am, this is how I lift
T-posts. Sometimes it takes three hands, but a knee
or a foot will work most times if you don't happen to
have a third hand.

Speaking of pulling things, a large diameter metal
wheel makes a great tool for pulling larger
fenceposts. Tie a chain around the base of the post,
set the wheel against the post in the direction of
pull, drape the chain over the wheel and drive off.
The biggest posts come out with almost no effort.
