Dave, assuming the female flowers are aborting: cold weather will do this. Pollination and fertilization process is hindered when temps are cool/cold. Also, rainy weather interferes with bee flights and so fruit may not be pollinated. Can also happen in very hot weather.

About half my zucchini blossoms are dropping before they have a chance to develop fruit. Is this due to a critter, all the wet, cloudy weather or something else? I've never had it happen to this extend before. Any help would be appreciated.
