I joined the Missouri Farm Bureau and bought $1 million liability insurance for $100 for our market – but you are right – it covers slips, trips, and falls – not the products. But medical insurance companies often insist that injury recovery suits go through – regardless of whether your patron wants to sue or not. I would not sell at a market that did not have this basic coverage because I really, really love my house and garden and would hate to have to sell them to settle a suit! It is so unfortunate that we live in such a “sue-happy” culture.
