- Subject: [Market-farming] dead, yellow spinach

I saw a few posts regarding acidifying alkaline soil for improving spinach
and I considered doing something to my soil (which is very base indeed) but
my spinach looked fine and I procrastinated. In the course of a week every
plant is died and completely dried up. They began turning yellow so I
immediately side dressed with some diluted ACV, then a little ammonium
sulfate a day later. No effect at all. Our temps have been approaching
95°F but they are on drip and getting a lot of water – no sign of bolting
(actually they were still pretty small too). I’d appreciate any tips on
where I went wrong or what else I could have done.
