We tried that little device from Johnny's for a season, then used a small hand held vibrating device for another season, and for the past three years we have used a vacuum seeder-the pac choi plate works for kale also. We also have a plate to see lettuce. They both work very well. We seed about 5500 cells per week with these seeders-takes about two hours with two people working.
