I just did up a very rusty, faded orange pipe gate. Using the old fashioned
technique of lots of elbow grease, I wire brushed it, double-coat metal
primed it (primer had a rust-killer & preventative in it), and double-coat
painted it with regular glossy house shutter/trim paint. I don't plan to be
here in 20 years--but if I am, I'm sure I'll tire of the color before then.
The once orange monolith fades into the background in its new coat of sage
green. Only 10 more to go ; //
