Yes, we too moved to our little 'paradise' (on Paradise Road of all places) and all the neighbors have big giant security lights (thank goodness they are not very close neighbors).
We do subscribe to trash service because the dump is 25 miles away and burning is not allowed in our county (although I am proud to say that we only go through 2 bags a week for a family of 5).
We have a satellite dish because my kids homeschool and we avail ourselves of educational programming and distance education.
And I drive an old SUV (for shame) because it was a good deal, it fits all my kids, pulls all my stuff and it is NOT a minivan!
And now a question, has anyone here use 16' cattle panels for a hoophouse frame? If so, how did you secure them to the ground. PVC will not work for me because of organic standards and also gale force winds on a regular basis.
Thanks for the daily entertainment and education.
