I thought Swiss Chard was biennial, but am ready to be corrected. Here,
it's grown as an annual, unless it's in a high tunnel or other protection.

neither, it is a biennial and should soon be putting out flower stalks.

It's a bienniel. If it keeps going for you it'll develop flowers and seed
(dried fruit with seeds imbedded). I'm not sure if it self-pollinates or
crosses freely.
