Has anybody had any luck doing e-mail marketing with chefs?
- Are they representative of the current population?
- Do their crazy hours and lifestyle allow them to be regular web
users?
> I can not stress enough the usefullness of email marketing.
I'm thiking of communications along the lines of "This week I have X
#'s of purple polka-dotted squash blossoms at $199/#, first come first
served. The flavor has a hint of chamomile with undertones of
ginseng and is fabulous on a buffalo confit..." Take a look at the
attached photograph of a menu entree featuring them along with our
hummingbird tonsils."
What do you think? Will it work? I want to do this with specialty
items, not commodity stuff. Maybe give them a heads-up of stuff which
will be ready in the next week or so so that they can search for
inspiration.
