Jim and Julie,
I think you will probably be able to do fall lettuce and early spring
tomatoes, but not winter growing. In the coldest days of winter is when
that insulation is most important.... Berea College, on the other hand, had
the same problem when they built theirs this year, and went with a solar
solution. And, some Amish from western KY told us they use some sort of a
wind vane to move air between the layers - works until there is no wind!
