For cilantro flavor, try Vietnamese coriander, (Rau Ram), Polygonum odoratum. It thrives in hot weather and is a tender perennial. We sold a few plants last year and many customers came back for it again to use in salsa. Others who discovered the scent and flavor was the same bought it in place of common cilantro. The only drawback is that is closely resembles smartweed. Any catalog listing herb plants will have it.
