I think this is a really interesting discussion topic. For example, we have Bread and Circus, which is a Whole Foods store, so that definitely makes it a chain store, and we have Trader Joe's, also a chain store. Locally, we have an organic store where you can buy most things, but produce is available only one day a week. Because they aren't part of a chain, their prices are higher.
So, is it ethically wrong to shop in an organic foods store that is part of a chain? Does the chain store concept make an organic foods store unacceptable? I'd be interested in knowing what others think about this.
