Del & Lori -
I for some reason have to clarify this planting in bunches. I can see
the scallions planted that way but it always seems to me that lettuces and
chard need the spacing to size up - am I wrong? If I can cut my
transplanting time in half I'll do it in a heartbeat! So would you leave
two lettuces or chard plants together? I'm with you Del - anything long
season veggie like chard or onions that I direct seed has almost no chance
of being found again - I can beat the weeds with the quick greens like
spinach and arugula but always lose onions.
