Allan,
I agree with Robert about the treated posts - they should not be
produced or used anywhere on the earth, in my thinking.
There is a place in my county that makes plastic fence posts -
http://www.renewplastics.com/
Here is a blurb from their web page:
"RENEW PLASTICS, a division of N.E.W. Plastics Corp., has been a pioneer
in the plastic lumber industry since 1973 and is a leading manufacturer of
recycled plastic products such as boards, sheets and finished items. These
Perma-Poly(tm) products improve our environment and add to the quality of
life in America and abroad. To better serve its customers, RENEW PLASTICS
has built a 23,000 square foot facility and has added machine capacity to
process in excess of 24 million pounds of recycled plastic annually."
I have not used them, but I have seen them used - our county fairgrounds
uses them for the horse show ring, and I know that they are used nationwide.
I do not work for, own stock in, or in any other way benefit from the
company, except in local pride.
