Joan,
Since I am a Consultant and run my business from my home (even though my
office and soils lab are in an addition to our garage), I went through Farm
Bureau (Farm Family Mutual). When I first started out I was retailing lawn
and garden supplies as well as running my soils lab. The liability issue
came up that if a friend came over and went into the house and then that
person fell getting into their vehicle, which insurance would kick in since
the driveway also was used by Customers? Now, that I am a full time Crop
Consultant, I can get exactly the type of coverage I need for the type of
business I am running.

Hope this helps!
