I just talked to our insurance agent regarding liability insurance for foods
we will be preparing in our certified kitchen and I got such a negative
response that I thought I'd see what you all are doing, where you've found
insurance and how much its costing. I mentioned to him that a neighboring
farmer/friend told me he had gotten insurance through our agent for
something like $200 - $300 - but our agent explained to me that that was
back when insurance companies "had lots of money" and would write anything.
Somehow I must have missed that particular day!
Any ideas?

p.s. agent called back before I could send this and said it would be a
minimum of $200 for $300,000 coverage, do you think this is sufficient
coverage? I guess I feel that on something like this unless negligence
could be proved that the award would be to the limit of you insurance
coverage. Certainly wouldn't want to lose the farm because of being "cheap"
my husband probably wouldn't like it!
