Heads up everyone! This is from the head honcho at ibiblio. He's been
helping me through my angst at reshuffling the list. I'm working on faqs
now, and getting other people to help manage and administrate to avoid
future fiascoes such as this.
(Thanks to my partner, Bill Carver, for putting up with all this!!)

i don't subscribe to market-farming, but our research project do
contribute some of our cycles, human and machine, and bandwidth, again
electronic and fleshy, to keeping the server and lists running.
the list vanished and was restored recently -- both without my full
knowledge. parts weren't quite put back right. the biggest confusion was
caused by the footer from another list having been copied into the
market-farming footer space. it didn't break anything except that you
were reading the wrong information for this list. i've fixed that and all
new messages should have the right info.
i believe that nothing more has been lost or made confusing with one
exception - i think that some folks' individual settings such as digest
only have been lost. you can modify your settings easily by using the www
interface at http://franklin.oit.unc.edu/ and clicking on "Mailing-Lists
Operated for SunSITE Contributors" then "Science and Health" then
"market-farming" or go directly to:
