Hi,
Yes I guess I can be more specific. I'm trying to arrange now while I have the time a way of scheduling myself to live up to the duties of being a parent, teacher, and bring in a much needed income. The homeschool thing is working good. I have my son on the Phoenix program. It is designed in a way that all of his course work (up to 85% of BC Ministry of Education) is administered via computer in 20 min. - makes one wonder why school lasts until mid-afternoon. I also provide him with books that he takes to the farm and is able to work on by himself by following the instructions provided (he's at a grade 3 reading level). One mother who is homeschooling her children found him to be too advanced and told me I shouldn't 'push' him so much - my reply: how can I when he is persistant on working independantly. Anyways I'm off topic.

I need help with scheduling, kids activities in the garden that require some of my assistance - but allows me to 'make a living', safety issues, we live near a busy road and what can I do to ensure the safety and attention that is needed especially by the 2 year old. Thanks, Jacqueline

Jacqueline-
5 acre garden, 3 kids at or under age 6 , homeschooling AND a full-time
employed spouse- I'd say you have your hands alittle full! I'm not sure
WHAT specifically your concerned about, but , having been a market grower
for 12 years and a homeschooling parent of 2(now in school at ages 16 and
18), I'll vouch that though it's a full load, it makes for a 'full and rich
life' doing what your doing. I tried to keep my workload sane when mine
we're little, just doing 1 market a week (now i do 3-4- insane). We
'schooled' in the mornings, worked in the afternoons/evenings- Saved the
meat of the curriculum for the winter time. Your probably doing all this in
one form or another already i imagine- though there are 'bad' days, it's
all-in-all a GREAT way to raise wonderful kids and citizens. Anything you
were wondering about specifically?
