Kenaf has been evaluated in California primarily. I'm not sure it would have
a suitable growing season in the rest of the country. Don't know enough
about it.

Hemp is a better bet. And some advances are being made on that front at
the state level in many states. Even the USDA seems to be turning the corner
on it. Only our "Drug Czar" seems adamantly against it.
