Vinegar is acidic, can be used to kill weeds--but I've never tried it
on diseased plants. Baking soda neutralizes--it is a base. I've only
experimented with the baking soda, and it works. It isn't a cure, but
it extends the life of the diseased plants for a few more harvests.
