I have grown white beets. They are much easier to grow than yellow beets but
at least in the Indiana/Ohio area they are not well recieved. Most people
think they are turnips and won't believe they are beets or if they are beets
that they will be sweet. This is they type of beet grown for sugar and are
very sweet and nice tasting.
I also grow chiogga beets with good success though again I live in an area
where the beets are red and round and it has taken several years of
education but now I have some customers that love the chioggas and will buy
the white beets.
