Just a note about a recent sad lesson. Had some floating row cover anchored
over an 80' double row of broccoli to keep it going nicely if the winter
remained fairly mild, and to stop deer/rabbits who were somehow evading our
fences. Along came big windstorms over a period of several weeks. The wind
abraded the row cover on the broccoli heads and left little wisps of fabric
attached to the florets. The wisps are hard to see and almost impossible to
totally remove. Broccoli has to be composted. Bummer.
