considering cages. : we've used 6/6/10/10 concrete reinforcing wire. pretty
cost effective and easy to use,can be repaired and even run over with
tractor and reformed..:)
lasts many years
cages increase yields and work super wth plastic weed barrier
we have been using the long term weed barrier designed for greenhouse floors
or field production of containerized plants
its high dollar per sq foot (~$0.05/sq foot or $2200 per acre vs 1 mil
@108/acre)but lasts many years(10 so far) so i think the cost is about the
same as i mil black plastic over the life of the fabric but handles weeds
better and does not get destroyed by elk !or dogs
