Let us know how it works out.

Hi John,
This sounds great... I can sign the kids up, or they can sign themselves up.
Either way is acceptable. And I don't mind associating the teacher's e-mail
with the account, but as you know both Lyceum and WP-mu both require unique
e-mails.
Your solution of removing the unique requirement for signup sounds like a
reasonable solution. I look forward to learning how to do that!
Thanks.

John-
That's great that you are installing Lyceum in a k-12 environment. This is
one of our favorite applications.
Question: do you want the students to be able to register themselves? Or
are you going to be creating all of the accounts yourself?
If it's the latter, then i think the best solution would be for you to use
a stock lyceum with nothing changed, EXCEPT the unique requirement on
email in the database and in the signup process.
does that sound like a good solution? if so, i will put together a wiki
page outlining how to achieve this. let me know.

I have just installed Lyceum and have finally gotten things to work. As anto
Admin, I can log in, change my profile, etc.
My next step is getting users into the system to begin blogging.
Here¹s my catch: my users will not have e-mail addresses. What I¹d like
do is have each user use my e-mail address to register, or for me toproduce
a text file to mass-upload.modified
Seemingly, Lyceum uses this to create the initial password. I have
wp-register.php to not check e-mail (by commenting-out lines 186-190) butI
still got a generic error to contact the webmaster.these
On line 208, I removed $email from the parenthesis, and this generates
users in the DB, but when I get the e-mail, no password is created.K-12
In a sense, I solved one problem, and created another.
Is anyone else in the situation I am inÿÿaccounts without passwords in a
environment? Or is there another solution?
Thanks for reading!
