- Subject: [Livingontheland] Looking for a Word/Term

A year or two ago I ran across a process of harvesting certain kinds of trees for their wood then letting them grow back from the stump and harvesting them again some years later. Evidently, this process continues in rotation endlessly and has been practiced for centuries. I recall reading that some of the stumps were many feet in diameter from repeated harvesting. I just can't seem to remember the word for it!
Anyone here know what it's called?
Thanks
