Hey Paul, I forgot to trim that last post. Sorry.

I agree with Norma, even if I was in the post-Zumwalt dope-smokin' '80's Navy instead of WWII..
'Some of the best food in the world goes into a Navy mess deck. What comes out is a different story.'

Most of the bad stuff will float up, I think. I'd eat them with some kind of sauce, though...;-)
Hot peppers work wonders for worries about bugs...
If that doesn't do it, the chickens will eat them.

Hi Debbie,
I would just wash, cook and eat.  But then . . . my dad was navy during
WWII.  Back then when the supplies on ship got buggy they put in the black
lights and ate what they had.
