Paul, Good to here from ya, things up this way are fine. I'm putting together
a real nice greenhouse fit for royalty, and enlarging my compost bin with a
more permanent structure. Doro's been studying Eliot Coleman and how ta go a
hoophousin, etc. We got some cold frame experimentes going and if I get real
crazy I might get to adding an additional 1000 sq. ft. of growing space. I
been spending alot of time with your list, particularly interesting thread on
sequestration. The whole "to meat or not" thread got a little iffy, the
message was clear from start '- less meat less impact-' otherwise a moral
issue that one must answer for oneself. The Rodale study was super exciting,
it is becoming clearer and clearer that proper soil building and carbon
sequestration will play a huge part in removing CO2. from the atmosphere (and
to boot we can feed the world and put the farmers back to work). I also
ordered the book from Harry MacCormack"'The Transition Document'. Inspiring
approac!
h to soil building/maintanence. Alot going on, just listening to the little
voice in my head telling me to stay ahead of the curve and out of the fray. I
think it was that same little voice that led me to sit down with you on a
fine friday afternoon and chat last summer.Say hi to Barb.

Well hey! What's going on up in Pecos? Snowed in? I've been able to get out
and do catch up chores in the garden until now. Snow last nite, but still
mornings I can go out and clear weeds, do greenhouse repair, etc. Haven't
talked in a blue moon.

BTW New Year's eve will be a blue moon. Everybody know what that is?
